Co-founder & Artistic Director: Ms. Pong Sin Yu, Monique
Monique Pong is a Music Educator in Hong Kong. She received her Master’s Degree in Music Education from The Royal College of Music in London. After returning to Hong Kong, she devoted herself to promoting Music Education in Hong Kong, from the Early Years of music education for children to advanced teachers of music training.
In 2013, she founded the Music Children@Shamshuipo programme and Music Children Foundation in Hong Kong, which aim to provide a free music education programme to underprivileged children.
Besides promoting music education in Hong Kong, Monique is interested in creating concerts and workshops through live music and multi-media collaboration. With inspiration from Visual Arts, she is keen to bring the audience to a different horizon in Arts Education.
Music graduated from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, majoring in piano with Ms. Eva Lue and in music pedagogy with Prof. Eleanor Wong with outstanding academic results.
After graduation, she worked as a music teacher in a primary school. Subsequently, she advanced her education at Ecole Normale in Paris by studying with Madam Germaine Mournier.
Co-founder & Executive Director: Ms. Pong Chau Ngan, Annike
An experienced actress who graduated from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts majoring in acting, Annike is currently teaching at Hong Kong Baptist University – Academy of Film as a guest lecturer. She is passionate about acting, education, and training the next generation to develop their performing arts.
She also received an Executive Master of Arts in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship at The Education University of Hong Kong. As the Executive Director of Music Children Foundation, she focuses on contributing to society with professional music education and developing Music Children Foundation to extend its services to more districts in Hong Kong.
