Lee Hysan Foundation Music Family Hub
2024 marked the start of a new journey of MCF with new breakthroughs in both the curriculum and services. It was also the launch of the Lee Hysan Foundation Music Family Hub Programme sponsored by the Lee Hysan Foundation. The programme provides support to 15 ensembles and choirs, connecting students and their parents through music, and brings music to all communities.
The programme is devised to admit and place students according to age and musical abilities into elementary, intermediate and advanced levels of choir, strings and wind ensembles. There is also a parents choir. The aim of the programme is to nurture the student/parent relationships within the Music Family Hub through performing and singing together.
To the students, the approach of this programme is a pivotal link in their music education. It facilitates growth and development, building relationships, discovering directions and establishing confidence. The programme also covers parents’ needs by providing choir and dance classes as well as other trainings and activities to help them enhance parent/child relationship, and develop mutual appreciation amongst parents.
