Thanks to the Topaz Edelweiss Foundation for sponsoring a new programme “How GiG Family” suitable for ages 5 to 80. Get the whole family involved and bring everyone closer through the power of percussion.

Generations gather together, harmonizing in the joy of music!

We aim to:

1. Encourage the participation of elder members in the family to improve their mental and physical well-being through the magical power of music.
2. Let children and teenagers learn to interact with family members; and express themselves through music.
3. Foster family harmony and quality time.

Course Details:

Date: 7，14，21，28 Mar & 11，25 Apr & 2，9，16，23，30 May & 1，6，8，13 Jun, 2025

Venue: Music Children Foundation – Room D, 9/F, The Globe, 79 Wing Hong Street, Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon

Time: The course consists of 15 lessons, held on Friday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm, and on occasional Sunday afternoons from 2:00-3:30pm.

Music Sharing: 15 Jun, 2025 (Sun), 2:30-5:30pm (Can invite family and friends to enjoy the learning outcomes)

Course notes:

• No music reading skills are required. Learn rhythm and enjoy fun percussion ensembles using everyday household items as instruments.

• Participants who have reached 80% attendance rate will receive a certificate.

Families meeting the following criteria are welcome to enrol: (Each lesson must include at least one child (aged 5+) and one parent or grandparent. Priority will be given to families with grandparent participants)

1. Receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA)
2. Receiving Student Financial Assistance or Working Family Allowance
3. Families referred by social welfare organizations
4. Grassroots families interested in the programme

Required supporting documents (copy):

1. Proof of identity for participating children.
2. Proof of address (within three months).
3. Referral letter from a social worker (if available).
4. Proof of CSSA, Student Financial Assistance, Working Family Allowance (if applicable).
