Music Children Foundation (MCF) held its first Lee Hysan Foundation Music Family Hub “New Journey“ Concert on July 19. The concert consisted of five chapters: Awakening, Exploration, Reflection, Harmonious Echoing, and Onward and Forward, symbolizing the transformation of MCF in the past

Despite the torrential rain on the day of the event, it did not hold back the progress of the concert. Before the opening, our percussion ensemble members showcased a rhythmic performance using “plastic buckets”. This surprise performance delighted the audience and earned the students a round of enthusiastic applause.

The “New Journey” concert comprised two different performances. The first half featured various choirs performing several delightful songs, interspersed with graceful piano, violin, and flute accompaniments enchanting the listeners. At the end of the vocal performances, Music Children’s Choir and the Parents’ Choir joined together for a grand chorus. It was a precious moment for parents/children singing together and delivering a high standard performance. It was absolutely heart-warming.

The second half showcased various instruments ensembles taking turns on stage. The string ensembles, wind ensembles, percussion ensembles, and orchestras performed ten classical and contemporary pieces with each ensemble demonstrated exceptional musical skills, diverse styles, and well-paced rhythms. In the finale, parents and student choirs joined the grand ensemble, and with the audience clapping in unison with the music created a powerful MCF family atmosphere.
