Target participants: Children from underprivileged families who are aged between 1-6
Music Children Foundation provides music playgroup (currently under the scheme of Jockey Club Music Children Sprout Programme) for children from underprivileged families aged between 1 to 6. Focusing on making music learning an enjoyable experience by means of singing, rhythm and musical games for preschool children, it helps to enhance children’s awareness to their surroundings, and to improve their concentration ability, social skills as well as establishing self-confidence which paves the way for their future participation in Music Children Fruit Programme.
There are two types of classes under Music Playgroup：
1. Parent-child class (Age 1-3)
Parents accompany their children in our fundamental music classes which aims to establish and improve parent-child bonding and communication.
2. Rhythmic class(Age 3-6)
Children attend classes in small groups without the accompaniment of their parents. Rhythmic classes encourage children to explore the world and know more about self by combining music with body movement, arts, drama, language learning and multiple sensory stimulation. In so doing, their world knowledge, ability to concentrate, social skills as well as confidence will be enhanced.
