Spirit of Hong Kong Awards 2017
Music Children Orchestra and Vocal team were invited to perform in the “Spirit of Hong Kong Awards 2017” prize-giving ceremony, held on 29th September in Conrad Hong Kong. We performed two songs- “Every Child’s a promise” and “With love” (Cantonese Song). Every performance is a valuable experience to music children, and we hope we can spread love through the songs to you.
Thanks for the invitation of Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation and the Sponsor of Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel, 18 students from MCF, aged from 6 to 8, participated in the “My Sham Shui Po Hidden Gems” Art Exhibition. Under the help of teacher Violet Shum (a visual artist from Hong Kong) and Sheraton Hong Kong Volunteer team, students went to Apliu Street, Yu Chau Street and Fuk Wing Street in Sham Shui Po to look for materials such as toys, beads, and electronic components to finish their 3D art work. With the materials they acquired, music children put together some art works to present their memories and stories of Sham Shui Po. Please come to take a look at their works and support them!

Don’t let your dreams get crushed! On 5th and 6th August, about 100 children and parents of MCF were so happy to have the chance to watch “Dream Hunt” – an original musical presented by Chung Ying Theatre Company. We were all attracted by the fascinating story and the passion of the actors. We would like to thanks the Education and Outreach Department of Chung Ying Theatre Company for letting us learn more about musical. We are getting more interested in learning Music and Art!
The music training programme of the Music Children Foundation had once again expanded to another district. This time, we are cooperating with the Locality Development Team of Christian Family Service Centre, our professional musicians and volunteers to present Music Forest Workshop to families in Kwun Tong. All participants are very attentive and excited to try out the musical instruments. We all feel so pleased and encouraged. Thanks to Swire Properties Limited for sponsoring the workshop.
With the support of Tekeda (Hong Kong) Limtied, Music Children had a chance to visit Hysan Place in Causeway Bay and played in this meaningful charity concert. Thank you so much for your support!
Living in a city, we need fresh air! Last Sunday, we enjoyed a great day. Thanks to Kay for her talk, which let us know how to have a balance diet. We also thank all the volunteers, who contributed to the success of the event!
